Marketing for Accounting Firms During Tax Season

As Tax Season rears its head, I'd like to discuss two things of importance to the Accounting Marketing profressional!

  1. In my experience, as Accounting professionals get busier in late Winter and early Spring, time spent on marketing and business development is often one of the first things they cut to make more room in their schedules. I'd like to hear your thoughts on how Accounting Firms can survive the busy-season without sacrificing marketing time/opportunities!
  2. Have you found any marketing/business development tactics that work especially well during tax season? Are there any often overlooked marketing opportunities unique to this time of year?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

My clients have had consistent success during tax season utilizing something I call the "Stickie Technique."  It takes virtually no time and consistently generates new  additive business from your existing clients.

The following two links are to blog posts I've written about the technique.  They were posted in January 2011.

Thank you, Craig. It's such an easy, simple idea, but I can already see the short and long-term value in the "stickie" method!
